Listening, drawing and learning

Katie Skuldt at Westerville’s Heritage Middle School used the Geologic Time activity with her 8th grade science class. This activity, part of the Formation lessons, has students listening to a narrative of prehistoric events and drawing pictures of each geologic age to understand when crude oil and natural gas were formed. Skuldt included the activity as part of studies on the Geologic Time Scale and Change Over Time. She said the students enjoyed it, especially as a followup to state testing!

Skuldt learned about this activity because she attended an OOGEEP teacher workshop. Check our (events calendar)[http://oogeep.org/events/] to find out when you can attend!
