Each year 40 Ohio teachers attend a two-day professional development graduate course sponsored by OOGEEP for the purpose of connecting science standards and energy industry information. Teachers try experiments, share ideas and take field trips to local oil and gas wells and drilling sites. Check out these lessons written by Ohio teachers to address a variety of content areas and age groups.

What teachers were asked to do... Consider energy education and your curriculum. How can you incorporate what you have learned during the OOGEEP workshop into your science classroom? Come up with ideas that incorporate a variety of teaching practices: lecture, reading, visual media, demonstration, discussion group, hands-on activities, teaching others, use of technology, 21st Century Skills, graphic organizers, field trips and industry spokespeople.
