Food for Thought proposal

$500 for your Ohio FFA Chapter! Implement a healthy eating campaign in your school. Can you get students to: Eat a good breakfast? Choose whole grains? Add fruits and vegetables? Drink water instead of pop? Change attitudes and behaviors toward healthy eating?

Ideas: produce public service announcements; host tasting events; write articles for the school newspaper; partner with local groceries and food producers; talk with lunchroom workers, coaches, and health teachers for suggestions; start an advisory council in your school district.

Ten Ohio FFA Chapters will be chosen on October 28th to receive $500 to support the implementation of their campaign. Showcase your campaign efforts at the Ohio State FFA Convention, May 3—4, 2012.
